Basic Function:
The Compliance Specialist assists the Compliance Manager in fulfilling accreditation standards, federal and state laws and regulations, and operational policies and procedures by providing administrative support, research and recordkeeping.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain records and documents
- Prepare internal reports
- Perform research online and by phone and assist in sourcing of vendors or key resources
- Obtain permits
- Assist in communicating operational policies
- Communicate environmental health and safety policies and procedures to ATR employees
- Assist in preparation for audits of ATR facilities, (which may include travel)
- Seek and continuously develop knowledge and information regarding ATR’s compliance to accreditation standards and legal requirements
- Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval
- Responsible for making sure company policies regarding visitors are followed
- Effective communication with multiple Supervisors/Managers and co-workers at multiple locations and Corporate Headquarters
- Handle and manage files, internal forms and support materials including the collection of files
- Assist employees in areas of concern regarding Company policy, or appropriate forms to fill out
- Responsible for training new employees on Company policies and procedures
- Complete on-going training with employees and keeping track of training objectives
- Data entry, creation of spreadsheets, word processing, running of weekly reports
- Oversee multiple sites to ensure Compliance to Certified Standards

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal training in related field preferred
- At least two years of related experience required
Qualifications:
- Ability to work to deadlines in an ever changing, fast paced work environment
- Proven work experience as a Compliance Specialist or similar role
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Good problem solving and decision-making ability
- Good organizational skills/ability to multi-task
- Microsoft Office experience required
- Knowledge of compliance and auditing preferred
- Documenting and reporting skills
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Compliance Specialist
- Team work and collaboration skills are required
- Must be able to work individually and with a team
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written at all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance and reach
